Eliminate Guesswork in Modern Physical Therapy

When your patients feel better, you feel better. But in the modern PT space, tracking data comes down to notes, listing variables unseen, and creating a rehabilitation program around communication and, let's face it, trial and error. With TRAZER, you can eliminate the guesswork by tracking objective and actionable data, making the intangible tangible with real-time reporting of the improvement, effectiveness, and strengthening of mobility over the lifecycle of care.

The best part? Results can be shared with your patients, giving them the ability to see their progression while being engaged from their very first visit and ultimately having fun in the process.

TRAZER+ Hip Pain for Onset Arthritis - The Problem

A common issue seen by Physical Therapists is hip pain from onset arthritis, leaving your patients feeling uncomfortable with limited functional movement, balance, and day-to-day abilities. TRAZER's lateral agility screen, or as we call it, the "LAS", is a great warm up and training activity to measure patient asymmetries for prescriptive rehabilitation.

The LAS is a simple assessment for range of motion and evaluates reaction time to random left and right cues. First step quickness and ability to stop on a dime are challenged and measured.

So, if we are talking hip pain relief, what are some exercises and activities for your patients to perform following their warm up with the LAS assessment? Here are the top five we recommend.

Non-Weight Bearing Positions:

➕ Have patient lie on his/her back and bring one knee as close to their shoulder as they can. Instruct them to use their hands to pull their knee as close to their core as they can for maximum stretching. Repeat movement with both legs.

➕ Have patient lie on his/her back and bend one knee up and outwards. Repeat movement with both legs.

➕ Have patient lie on his/her side and instruct them to lift their top leg into a 45 degree angle. Repeat movement with both legs.

➕ Have patient lie on his/her side with their knees bent, resting their head on their bottom arm. Instruct them to lift their top knee while keeping their top foot placed on their bottom foot (frog-like position). Repeat movement with both legs.

Weight Bearing Position:

➕ Have patient stand shoulder-width apart and raise one leg into a 90-degree angle. Repeat movement with both legs.

When your patients feel better, you feel better. Tracking and monitoring progress and improvement through the life cycle of care makes all of the difference.
